I absolutely love my college football games and it is a standing rule in this house that no matter what may be happening, if it is happening on a Saturday between August and January there is a good chance A) I will not answer my phone B) I will not show up to your event and C) I will also probably not be getting off the couch to cook dinner either. That means it’s time to break out these Layered Chili Cheese Dip Bites!
A long time staple in to our Saturday afternoon food parade has been a steaming hot pan of chili cheese dip. Unfortunately, the downfall to any good cheese dip is there will always be an occasion when you’re going in for a huge scoop of dip, perfectly paired up with your crunchy nacho chip … and what happens? The chip breaks! So how do you avoid Game Day binge eating disaster? Simple… Layered Chili Cheese Dip Bites!!!
Why not take the cream cheese and the chili and the oooey gooey cheese and pack it all into its own individual little nacho chip carrying vessel? Layered Chili Cheese Dip Bites!!! DO YOU NEED TO MAKE HOMEMADE CHILI?
You can make homemade chili if you want but I always make things easy on myself and use a can of spicy Hormel chili. It’s what I have always used to make my chili cheese dip so I use it for these Layered Chili Cheese Dip Bites too.
HOW DO YOU MAKE LAYERED CHILI CHEESE DIP BITES?
Easy! To make Layered Chili Cheese Dip Bites, preheat oven to 350 degrees and line large baking sheet with parchment paper. Line unbroken scoop chips on parchment paper and lightly spray with cooking spray. Cook for 3-4 minutes and remove from oven. Gently spoon a thin layer cream cheese into the bottom of each chip, followed by chili and then the cheddar cheese. Bake Layered Chili Cheese Dip Bites for 8 – 10 minutes or until cheese is melted. Garnish with green onions and serve immediately.

Layered Chili Cheese Dip Bites
Ingredients
- 10 oz bag of Scoop type nacho chips
- non stick spray
- 15 oz Hormel chili
- 8 oz cream cheese room temperature
- 8 oz sharp cheddar cheese shredded
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line large baking sheet with parchment paper
