July 4th Red White and Blue Frozen Bomb Pop Cocktail

It’s that time of year again, Friends! Time to fire up the barbecue, blow stuff up and break out everything red, white and blue you can find. That’s right… it’s all about the Fourth of July and that means it’s time for a great big July 4th Red White and Blue Frozen Bomb Pop Cocktail!!!!

As I have mentioned before, July 4th is a very big deal in my family. There is always lots of cold drinks, tables of amazing food, the occasional round of burnt hamburgers, games set up on the lawn for the kids (small and grown up) and fireworks by the TRUCKLOADS.  It’s always a great day spent with family and friends to celebrate the birth of the good ol’ U.S.A.

What better way to show off your red white and blue spirit than the perfect frozen drink to keep you cool on a hot July day? A July 4th Red White and Blue Frozen Bomb Pop Cocktail, of course!!! This is the most amazing drink and the flavors will take you right back to that age when all you were allowed to touch were sparklers and Bang Snaps.

Of course, copious amounts of alcohol will remind you that you aren’t that kid anymore 🙂

WHAT GIVES BOMB POP COCKTAILS THEIR RED, WHITE AND BLUE COLORS?

As much as I would love to say you just take a Bomb Pop Popsicle and let it melt in a glass, it’s not quite that easy.  July 4th Red White and Blue Frozen Bomb Pop Cocktails are made with vodka, grenadine for the ‘red’ and blue curacao for the ‘blue’.

HOW DO YOU MAKE BOMB POP COCKTAILS?

Easy! To make your July 4th Red White and Blue Frozen Bomb Pop Cocktails, start by making a simple syrup by combining sugar and water in a microwave safe bowl and heating on High for 2 minutes. Remove and stir sugar until completely dissolved and then move to the refrigerator – COOL COMPLETELY (really really important!!.. trust me, I learned the hard way). Once cooled, add 2 oz of the simple syrup to your blender along with the lemon flavored vodka and 3 cups of ice. Blend on High until the ice reaches a slushy consistency.. add more ice if necessary.
Move the lemon ice to a glass and place in the freezer while you prepare the other layers. Add 2 oz of simple syrup to the blender with the cherry vodka and the Grenadine and then add 3 cups of ice. Blend on high until it reaches the slushy consistency and then move that to a glass and place into the freezer. Rinse out the blender.. and the top …. Add 2 oz of simple syrup to the blender with the raspberry vodka and the Blue Curacao and then add another 3 cups of ice and then blend on high until it reaches the slushy consistency. Take out the other two glasses from the freezer and spoon red white and blue layers into a tall glass. Serve immediately.

Now, melting into a puddle of blue eye shadow and frizzy hair from the heat and humidity would truly be tragic. This Fourth of July tragedy can be avoided by one easy step. The July 4th Red White and Blue Frozen Bomb Pop Cocktail! It’s festive, it’s frozen and when you leave the A/C and go outside to battle the heat, you will be met with OOOOs and AAAAAHHHs as everyone takes in your amazing red white and blue drink glass of refreshing AWESOMENESS!!

God Bless America!

Keep it safe kids.. this bomb pop drink packs a whallop (Yes, I used the word WHALLOP!) .. drink in moderation or if you are Party Rocking turn those keys over and call a cab.

ENJOY! ~ HEATHER

I used to love bomb pops as a kid! I remember my mother driving me down the street to catch the ice cream man to get one. I will definitely have to try this drink this summer!

What a great idea. Independence Day is huge with us — we always celebrate big time. I love the glasses! It’s a great idea to be able to personalize them and the drink is amazing. This is something I’ll have to try on the 4th.

I love how the red, white and blue layers show up in the glasses … I’m so tempted to reach through the screen to grab a tall cold drink right now… it’s 95 degrees and 95% humidity in Ohio today.
