Ingredients

  • 1 package Hawaiian sweet rolls 12 rolls
  • 1/2 pound sliced ham leftover holiday ham works perfectly!
  • 8 –12 slices of cheese Swiss, cheddar, provolone—go wild
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Everything Bagel seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/8 of an onion sliced thin
  • Pinch of salt and pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Slice the entire package of rolls in half horizontally (keep them connected if you can).
  • Place the bottom half in a baking dish.
  • Layer on ham and cheese and sliced onion. Be generous.
  • Top with the other half of rolls.
  • Mix melted butter, mustard, Worcestershire, Everything Bagel seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Pour or brush buttery mixture all over the tops.
  • Cover with foil and bake 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake 10 more minutes until golden and gooey.
  • Slice, serve, and prepare for them to vanish.

Tips for Success

  • Use good quality rolls. Hawaiian rolls = soft, sweet perfection.
  • Cover with foil first to melt the cheese without burning the tops.
  • Use a serrated knife to slice evenly.
