Tips for Success

- Cover with foil first to melt the cheese without burning the tops.
- Use a serrated knife to slice evenly.
- Leftover ham from Easter, Christmas, or any Sunday roast? This is your moment to shine.
Can You Make Sliders Ahead?
Yesโthese Hawaiian roll sliders are perfect for making ahead, which is exactly why they show up at every party and game day spread.
- Assemble ahead of time โ Build the sliders completely (ham, cheese, rolls, butter topping), then cover tightly and refrigerate for up to 24 hours before baking.
- Hold the butter topping if you want extra freshness โ You can brush it on just before baking for a slightly crispier, fresher finish, but itโs fine to add it ahead too.
- Bake from chilled โ Let the pan sit at room temperature for 20โ30 minutes, then bake as directed. You may need a few extra minutes since theyโre going in cold.
- Perfect for entertaining โ Making them ahead actually helps the flavors meld together, so they taste even better after sitting a bit.
- Freezer option โ Assemble, wrap tightly, and freeze before baking for up to 2 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight before baking for best texture.

Whatโs the best cheese to use? Swiss is classic, but you can mix and match. Cheddar, Havarti, and provolone are all winners.
