Why This Recipe Works

  • โ€ข Super easy to make – just swap Lucky Charms cereal for Rice Krispies in a classic marshmallow cereal bar recipe.
โ€ข Around St. Patrickโ€™s Day, the cereal comes with just green marshmallowsโ€ฆ does it get any better?
โ€ข Perfect for kidsโ€™ parties, classroom snacks, and work potlucks .. colorful, festive, and fun to serve.
โ€ข Everyone loves Rice Krispies Treats, but these are basically the upgraded, rainbow version. If someone complains, they probably donโ€™t deserve to be your friend.
โ€ข No-bake dessert, ready in 10 minutes, only 4 main ingredients, and completely portable .. perfect for last-minute St. Patrickโ€™s Day celebrations.
โ€ข Crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, and full of marshmallow goodness .. every bite is pure St. Patrickโ€™s Day magic.

โ€ข Chill: Refrigerate for 1 hour to set. These easy St. Patrickโ€™s Day snack bars need time to get that perfect chewy texture.

โ€ข Cut and serve: Lift bars using parchment paper, cut into squares, and serve at room temperature for ooey-gooey Lucky Charms treats. Optional: drizzle melted chocolate or add sprinkles.

Tips No One Tells You

โ€ข Donโ€™t walk away while melting marshmallows .. sugar burns fast.
โ€ข Spray hands with non-stick spray before pressing cereal into pan.
โ€ข Use plastic wrap over cereal when pressing down for a smooth top.
โ€ข Let treats come to room temperature before serving – cold bars right from the fridge lose the ooey-gooey magic.
โ€ข Add extra marshmallows for fluffier, sweeter St. Patrickโ€™s Day dessert bars.
โ€ข Swap in other cereals for a fun twist .. Fruity Pebbles or Cocoa Pebbles work well.
โ€ข Drizzle melted chocolate on top for a decadent finish.
โ€ข Store in an airtight container to keep holiday marshmallow cereal bars soft and chewy.

Variations That Actually Work

โ€ข Add rainbow sprinkles before bars set.
โ€ข Mix in mini chocolate chips for chocolatey Lucky Charms treats.
โ€ข Use white chocolate or butterscotch drizzle instead of plain.
โ€ข Make mini bars in a cupcake tin for bite-sized no-bake St. Patrickโ€™s Day snacks.
โ€ข Add extra marshmallow hearts to make them extra festive.
