2 Ingredient Bagels

Anyone following a weight loss program knows how hard it is to switch off from the foods you love to the foods you want to love. These 2 Ingredient Bagels help make that switch easier.

These 3 point WW bagels are a dream come true! The best part, these are just amazing bagels and it doesn’t matter if you are on a WW plan or not, these are delicious bagels, regardless.

Made with just two ingredients and ready to bake in just 5 minutes, these easy homemade bagels take away any guilt of indulging in a bagel when most diet plans scream NOOOOOO!!

I’ll be honest.. I’ve been part of the Weight Watcher community for years, their recipes are amazing and you can find the official WW bagel recipe HERE.

I have counted my points and I have been SHOCKED at how many points are in my everyday eating when I run off the rails.

A regular bagel from you favorite bakery is approximately 10 WW point.  TEN!!!! .. and friends, that is BEFORE the schmear of cream cheese.

This easy WW bagel recipe delivers to you delicious, chewy homemade bagel that only calculates out at 3 points.. yup.. 3 Weight Watcher points on the Freestyle program.

Run the math on that!! That’s seven more points of food you get to spread throughout your day

More importantly, you also don’t have any of that ‘Oh no, I just shoved an entire bagel in my face!!!’ guilt. THAT is worth it!!

The Secret to 2 Ingredient Bagels

So what is the secret to making 2 ingredient WW bagels? Self rising flour and Greek yogurt! That’s IT!!

By combining self rising flour and fat free Greek yogurt, you are rewarded with this amazing easy homemade bagel recipe that tastes crazy good!

Nonfat Greek yogurt is a zero point food on the WW program and is packed with protein. Combine that with self rising flour, you have a low point bagel without sacrificing any of the taste.

We all know how hard it is to cut out the heavy carbs and the sugar and the processed food. These WW bagels take some of that difficulty out of your hands.

Besides, do you have in your house what I have in MY house? A super picky eater that refuses to try anything remotely close to a healthy alternative to their favorite food?

Yup! Got one of those a.k.a. my hubby, Big Scary Mike.

Let’s just say that I served up these 2 ingredient bagels to him without telling him they were WW bagels and he LOVED them!! That right there tells me these are a keeper!

Why You Need These Bagels!

  • These are guiltless bagels. With so many people at home right now, these are a great way to indulge a bit without stacking on extra weight.
  • 2 ingredient bagels are easy to make, made with only two ingredients and ready to bake in 5 minutes.
  • Completely customizeable. You can easily transform these WW bagels into your favorite bagel flavor.
  • These WW bagels taste amazing.. so chewy, doughy and delicious you don’t even feel like you are eating a healthier alternative to regular bagels.

To make these 2 ingredient bagels, you will need:

  • Self rising flour
  • Fat free Greek Yogurt
  • Egg (optional)
  • Favorite bagel toppings (optional)

These are two ingredient bagels (flour and yogurt) but I like to brush on a bit of egg wash before I bake mine and then I like toppings.

If you want to call them four ingredient bagels because of that, go ahead but really …. still just two ingredients to make the actual bagels 🙂

How to Make 2 Ingredient Bagels

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a baking pan with non-stick spray or line with a sheet of parchment paper.

Combine self rising flour and fat free Greek yogurt together in large mixing bowl until a loose dough is formed.

2 ingredient bagel dough

Turn bagel dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Using your hands (flour them too!), lightly knead a bit then divide your dough into four equal portions.

Using your hands or a rolling pin, roll each portion out into a rope, approximately 8″ long.

Pinch together the ends of your rope to form a circle, repeat with all four pieces and now you have made four bagels.

Transfer your bagels to your prepared baking pan and lightly brush with egg wash.

Add any toppings you like (or none!) and bake for 23 minutes.

Turn on the broiler and broil for additional 2 minutes, carefully keeping an eye on them so they don’t get too dark.

Remove and serve immediately.

Pro Tips for Perfect WW bagels

  • This dough is sticky! Don’t forget to lightly sprinkle your work surface and your hands.
  • Don’t roll your dough rope too long or too thin. You will get flat little weird looking bagels. Trust me! (palm slap!)
  • Not following a Weight Watcher plan? Substitute the fat free Greek yogurt with any kind of Greek yogurt you prefer.
  • Feel free to stir in any additions to your bagel dough to make these bagels your own. Keep in mind, by adding extras like cheese, raisins, etc .. your WW point value may increase.
  • Keep an eye on your bagels while you are broiling them. Ovens are unique, those last two minutes may be too much for yours.
  • Store leftovers in large zip top bag in the refrigerator. Toast to reheat.
