Let me talk to you for a minute about toppers.  When I say topper, I mean that last little bit of condiment that you add to an already amazing dish that just takes that already amazing dish to the next level.  You know what I am taking about? Yup .. I know you do!! So you just have to trust me when I tell you that this Garlic Cilantro Sauce is The Ultimate Topper.  Super easy to make, this Garlic Cilantro Sauce brings the best of all worlds together.  You have a cilantro jalapeno dip type creamy sauce that is a bit spicy from the garlic and jalapeno, a bit tangy from the lime and is just the perfect compliment to whatever you are adding it to.  Seasoned fish tacos, pulled pork sandwiches, aint no thing like a chicken wing wings… it’s all just plain ol’ food until this Garlic Cilantro Sauce gets drizzled on top of it.

IS THIS GARLIC CILANTRO SAUCE LIKE AN GARLIC AIOLI?

Close but not quite.  An aioli is made using mayonaise and seasonings and while it is super close, this Garlic Cilantro Sauce is not exactly a garlic aioli.  This Garlic Cilantro Sauce is made using cream cheese and milk instead of using mayonaise as it’s base.

HOW DO YOU MAKE GARLIC CILANTRO SAUCE?

I thought you would never ask! To make this Garlic Cilantro Sauce, start by adding your garlic cloves, jalapeno and cilantro to a food processor and pulse until they are all minced.  Then add in your cream cheese and milk and mix until creamy.  Then add in your lime juice and zest along with your salt and pepper and mix until everything has been incorporated and your Garlic Cilantro Sauce is creamy.

Garlic Cilantro Sauce in a food processor

Seriously, in just 5 minutes you will have this amazing cilantro jalapeno sauce that goes perfectly on just about anything.  Great for fish, chicken pork and even steak, this Garlic Cilantro Sauce is the very best way to top off so many different foods, you will need to have this in your refrigerator 24/7 from this day on.

Trust me … you really want this Garlic Cilantro Sauce on EVERYTHING…. ok, maybe don’t try the flip-flop thing but you really need to try this on everything else.

Enjoy!!

Cilantro is my absolute favorite herb. I love it on anything and everything. I have never used cream cheese in mine so I’m definitely looking forward to trying this one out. I make a mean mahi mahi and I bet this would be dream on that.

Would you believe that the first time I tasted cilantro I thought, “What is all this fuss about? It tastes terrible!” A few years later I love the stuff. It is an acquired taste but once you get used to it you can’t get enough of it. Your topper sounds delicious — one that would be welcome at our house.

This really looks very creamy. I love the fact that garlic and cilantro will even make a great topping for a baked potato this has so many uses!
