Blue Cheese Bites are the perfect quick and easy blue cheese appetizer that’s made with only THREE INGREDIENTS! Using flaky canned biscuits, blue cheese crumbles and butter, these Blue Cheese Bites are a blue cheese lovers dream!
When I was a kid, my next door neighbor would make these little Blue Cheese Bites for me and I gobbled them up quicker than she could get them on my plate.
She took canned Pillsbury biscuits and cut them into quarters and then she sprinkled blue cheese crumbles on them. She would pour melted butter over them and cook them and they were the perfect part of my day every time.
The sprinkle of blue cheese was good back then but the struggle was real keeping the blue cheese crumbles on top of a tiny piece of biscuit. I end up with more cheese on my sheet pan than I did on my biscuit.
Forget little pieces lined up on a pan.. we are going beast mode on Blue Cheese Bites!! I still cut of the biscuits into quarters but when you pile them into a pie pan, the blue cheese had no where to run to!!!!
WHY YOU NEED THESE BLUE CHEESE BITES IN YOUR LIFE
- If you like blue cheese, there is no other blue cheese appetizer that is going to give you this much flavor
- These are make using only THREE INGREDIENTS! You can’t mess this up!
- This is the perfect finger food when entertaining because you aren’t stuck in the kitchen forever
- You can tell your husband you fed half of the bites to the dogs so has no real idea of how much you actually ate by yourself.
- The blue cheese is not overpowering when it’s paired with the light and flakey biscuits, it’s the perfect combination!
To make these blue cheese biscuit bites, you will need:

- Blue cheese crumbles
- Butter
HOW TO MAKE BLUE CHEESE BITES
Start by preheating your oven to 375 degrees and spraying a pie pan with non-stick spray. Remove the biscuits from the can and place on a cutting board. Cut each biscuit into quarters.
Place butter into a microwave safe bowl and heat on High for 1 minute. Dunk each biscuit piece into the melted butter then place into a 9″ pie pan forming a single layer.
Cover the entire surface of the biscuits with the blue cheese and then pour any remaining melted butter on top as well.
Bake your Blue Cheese Bites for 20 minutes. If the outside ring of biscuites is starting to brown but the inside doesn’t appear done enough, cover the outer edge of biscuits with strips of tinfoil or parchment paper so that they don’t burn while the center continues to cook.
Cook for anther 5 minutes or until center pieces are cooked. Remove and serve immediately.
ALL THE BLUE CHEESE DETAILS
- These blue cheese biscuit bites the best when it comes to a quick and easy appetizer! Perfect for any holiday gathering, game day parties, potlucks and really .. anytime.
- If you are looking to change up the blue cheese, substitute it with sharp shredded cheddar, gorgonzola, feta, monterey jack, mozzarella (hello? pizza bites?) or just about any kind of cheese you like.
- These are perfect to pop into a bowl of soup or as a side to dinner. Definitely more tasty than just serving up a plate of plain biscuits.
- If you are unable to find blue cheese crumbles, grab a block of blue cheese and scrape with a fork. You can also break apart with your fingers.
- Any refrigerated canned biscuites is fine to use but I prefer to use Pillsbury Grands Refrigerated Biscuits when I make these.
- Any leftover biscuit bites can be stored in a ziptop bag in the refrigerator for up to three days. To reheat, heat them in a microwave for about 10-20 seconds or until they’re hot and cheese is nice and gooey.

This bread looks so cheesy and delicious! Thanks for linking up with What’s Cookin’ Wednesday!
Loving how simple these biscuits are to make! They feel like such wonderful comfort food, and I’m thinking I need to make some with cheddar cheese. I’m actually getting a bit hungry now. 🙂
LOVE the story that goes with these It really does take a village. My children only have grandparents in New Zealand and no others – so they’ve been adopted by a few grandmas who love them to bits.
I hope they have the kind of memories of childhood that you do!
And, those biscuits? KILLER. I need them in my life.
